Southern Co-operative Funeralcare Showcase Service at Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show 2016

Colleagues from The Southern Co-operative Funeralcare in Gillingham and Shaftesbury showcased their offering at August’s Gillingham and Shaftesbury Agricultural Show.

The Funeral Co-ordinators had a selection of funeral products for people to get up close and personal to, including an eco-willow coffin, a motorcycle hearse, a limousine and floral displays.

Suzanne Smith, Funeral Co-ordinator for The Southern Co-operative Funeralcare in Shaftesbury said:

“Armed with balloons, the chance to win a hamper and a few freebies to take away, we were soon inundated with visitors from our local community. Everyone had lots of questions and we discussed funerals, pre-paid plans and support in the community with all who asked. We all felt the day was very successful and really good fun where we had the chance to talk to local people. We can’t wait until next year!”

The 2016 Gillingham & Shaftesbury Agricultural Show had a record turnout of visitors who all enjoyed a beautiful sunny day in the Dorset countryside. With over 520 trade stand exhibitors there was an enormous choice available to visitors from the cradle to the grave, plus over 100 stands for tractors, machinery and farming supplies.
