There is free street parking locally up to 1 hour. For longer stay parking, a pay and display car park is located just off the High Street, past the Methodist church and small river bridge.

The new charity partner for the Gillingham branch is Shaftesbury and District Carers Association. The funds raised will go towards their HOPE (Helping Other People Evolve) Drop-In Centre which is a place that supports people with health and wellbeing problems, and is run by volunteers. The project is to provide those who are at least 18 years old and have wellbeing problems with the opportunity to earn computer and other skills.
The Co-operative Funeralcare has an active role in the local Gillingham community by supporting good causes through our Love Your Neighbourhood programme and fundraising for their local charity partnership.
